Privacy comes first
When we designed Rosey Flowers, we asked a simple question:
“What information do we actually need to create a wonderful bedtime story?”
The answer was:
Very little.
That is why we intentionally avoid collecting information we don't need.
We believe children's privacy deserves thoughtful design—not simply a long legal document.
The remainder of this Privacy Policy explains exactly what information we collect, why we collect it, and how we use it.
1. Who This Policy Applies To
This policy applies to the Rosey Flowers™ website, account flows, checkout experiences, customer support interactions, voice consent flows, the current personalized digital bedtime story and browser-based interactive storybook reader, and future printed products operated by Rosey Flowers.
The purchase and setup flow is intended for adults. The story experience may be enjoyed by children, but Rosey Flowers expects a parent, guardian, or other adult gift-giver to create the book, provide permissions, and manage the account.
2. Information We Collect
Depending on how you use Rosey Flowers, we may collect:
- Adult account and contact information, such as name, email address, phone number, login details, and billing or order-related contact details.
- Story personalization information, such as the child's first name, plush-style avatar choices, dedications, gift-from details, and selected stories or collections.
- Order and transaction information, such as items selected, purchase status, currency, delivery-related details, and customer support records related to an order.
- Voice and narration information, including adult voice recordings, permissions, transcripts or metadata needed to create narration, and generated narration assets when those features are used.
- Adult website and purchasing information, such as browser type, device information, IP address, log data, referral data, and page or feature interactions used to operate, secure, and improve the adult account, marketing, and checkout experience.
- Limited reader operational information, such as whether a reader request succeeded, failed, or encountered a technical error. The reader does not collect behavioural analytics about pages read, navigation, narration choices, or reading habits.
- Communications you send to us, including support requests, contact form submissions, waitlist entries, and newsletter signups.
Information we don't normally need
Creating a Rosey Flowers story does not require:
- Child photograph
- Child voice recording
- Child email address
- Child phone number
- Child home address
- Child school
- Child birthdate
- Child location
If future features require additional information, this policy will be updated.
3. Child Data Minimization
Rosey Flowers is intentionally built to minimize the child information required for personalization. The core experience is designed around a first name and selected character, without needing a child photo, child voice, birthdate, address, school, or precise location.
If an adult enters extra child information into a freeform field or support message that Rosey Flowers did not request, we may remove it, decline to use it, or retain it only as needed to resolve the request or meet legal obligations.
4. How We Use Information
Rosey Flowers may use collected information to:
- Create, personalize, deliver, and support digital bedtime stories through the browser-based interactive reader, narration features, and related gifting experiences.
- Process purchases, manage carts and orders, provide receipts, and respond to account or support requests.
- Operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the adult website, checkout, and personalization flows.
- Use limited operational telemetry to keep the interactive storybook reader available, secure, and working correctly.
- Maintain saved libraries, such as avatar selections or narration assets, where those features are offered.
- Send operational messages, such as account notices, order updates, support responses, policy notices, and service-related communications.
- Send marketing or newsletter communications when you ask to receive them or where otherwise permitted by law.
- Detect misuse, enforce our terms, prevent fraud, and protect the safety, rights, and security of Rosey Flowers, customers, children, and service providers.
5. Adult Voice Recordings and Consent
Custom voice features are optional. Standard narrator voices can be used without recording anyone's voice, and a child voice is not required for the storybook experience.
When a narration feature involves a custom adult voice, Rosey Flowers requires explicit permission from the adult providing the recording. If you are helping another adult record, that adult must personally complete the permission and sample recordings. Voice recordings, voice models, and generated narration may be stored and processed by Rosey Flowers and service providers only to create, deliver, maintain, and support Rosey Flowers narration features.
Do not submit a child voice or another person's voice without proper authorization. You may contact support to request deletion of a custom voice or to stop future use. Deletion or withdrawal may not remove storybook narration already generated or delivered before the request is processed. If Rosey Flowers learns that a voice recording was submitted without proper permission, we may suspend use of that recording and remove related assets where appropriate.
6. When We Share Information
Rosey Flowers does not sell personal information as part of its ordinary business model. We may share information with trusted service providers that help us operate the service, including providers involved in hosting, storage, checkout, communications, fraud prevention, voice processing, content delivery, customer support, analytics, and security.
We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, protect rights and safety, enforce agreements, investigate misuse, or support a merger, financing, asset sale, or other business transition.
7. Privacy-Restricted Reader Mode
Once an adult opens a child's story, Rosey Flowers switches to a privacy-restricted reader mode containing only the services needed to render, narrate, secure, and troubleshoot the book. This is a technical boundary, not only a policy promise.
- The reader contains no advertising trackers, retargeting pixels, or behavioural analytics.
- The reader loads no third-party scripts. Its browser security policy restricts scripts, media, and network connections to Rosey Flowers and the book assets needed for the reading experience.
- The reader does not build child or device profiles and does not add pages read, navigation, narration choices, or reading habits to adult purchasing or marketing analytics.
- Reader telemetry is limited to first-party operational signals needed to confirm availability, diagnose errors, protect private access, and troubleshoot the book.
- Source IP addresses and private reader-link details are removed before reader application telemetry is exported. Rosey Flowers operational reader logs are scheduled for deletion after 30 days.
Hosting and security infrastructure must initially process a request and may temporarily handle an IP address to deliver and protect the service. Rosey Flowers applies the same 30-day operational-log retention limit to those records in its telemetry workspaces. A specific record may be preserved longer only when required by law or reasonably necessary to investigate a documented security incident.
The reader may store functional settings and an adult-requested offline copy on the device. Those local items make the reader and offline feature work; they are not used to identify a child, create a device profile, or deliver advertising.
The standalone Reader host has a public welcome page before any private link is opened. That public welcome page may use the same consent-controlled aggregate Google Analytics described below. Private libraries, storybook pages, narration, offline activity, and all other interactive-reader routes contain no Google Analytics or third-party browser scripts.
8. Adult Authorization and Children's Privacy
Rosey Flowers accounts, purchases, personalization choices, and reader-link management are for adults. The adult account holder confirms that they are an adult, accepts the Terms of Service and this Privacy Policy, and is responsible for permissions and supervision.
A parent, guardian, or other legally authorized adult must provide or approve child-related personalization information where authorization is required by law. Rosey Flowers may ask the adult to confirm that authority before processing a request and may decline or remove information when appropriate authorization cannot be established.
9. Cookies, Local Storage, and Technical Data
When you visit an affiliate page, we store a protected first-party referral cookie for up to 30 days to associate subsequent purchases with that affiliate. Visiting another active affiliate page replaces the referral. This cookie contains a referral reference, not child or payment information, and works independently of optional analytics. Attribution already attached to a payment session is retained for that purchase.
Outside the child reader, Rosey Flowers and its providers may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to keep the adult website working, remember preferences, maintain sessions, understand aggregate traffic patterns, and support security and performance.
Rosey Flowers uses Google Analytics 4 only on eligible public pages and limited adult product-selection, creation, checkout, confirmed-purchase, newsletter, and waitlist steps. It is optional and disabled until you accept analytics in the cookie-preference control. If you accept, Google Analytics may receive a first-party browser identifier, session and interaction information, browser and device information, referral or approved campaign information, and approximate location derived from the request's IP address. Google states that Google Analytics 4 discards the IP address before logging the measurement data.
Rosey Flowers sends only scrubbed public-page visits and a small allowlist of aggregate funnel events. We do not send child names, dedication text, voice or audio details, avatar choices, contact details, account details, payment details, private links, authentication values, raw form contents, or personalized order contents to Google Analytics. Advertising storage, advertising personalization, automatic form measurement, and automatic site-search measurement remain disabled. Google processes analytics data to provide the measurement service; learn more in Google's explanation of information from sites that use its services.
You can reject optional analytics without losing essential application functionality. Use the persistent Cookie preferences control to change or withdraw your choice. Withdrawal returns analytics consent to denied and removes Google Analytics cookies that the current Rosey Flowers host can access. Browser privacy signals are respected and keep optional analytics off.
Inside the reader, browser storage is limited to functional reader hints and adult-requested offline book data. It is not used for advertising, retargeting, behavioural analytics, or child and device profiling.
You can usually control cookies and local storage through your browser settings, although blocking these technologies may affect site or offline-reader functionality.
10. Data Retention
Rosey Flowers retains information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the service, fulfill orders, maintain purchased or created content libraries, provide support, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
Retention periods may vary by data type. For example, account records, order records, support records, personalization data, and adult voice-related assets may be kept for different periods depending on operational, legal, or safety needs.
Reader operational logs, including Rosey Flowers telemetry-workspace records that may initially include an IP address, are scheduled for deletion after 30 days. This short reader-log period is separate from adult account, purchase, support, and created-book records.
11. Your Choices and Requests
You may contact Rosey Flowers to request access, correction, deletion, or other privacy assistance related to your information, subject to identity verification, technical feasibility, legal requirements, and legitimate operational needs.
You may also unsubscribe from marketing emails using the unsubscribe mechanism in those messages. Operational emails about accounts, orders, support, or policy changes may still be sent when needed.
12. Security
Rosey Flowers uses administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to help protect personal information. No system can promise absolute security, and Rosey Flowers cannot guarantee that information will never be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed despite those efforts.
13. International Processing
Rosey Flowers and its service providers may process or store information in Canada, the United States, or other jurisdictions where they operate. By using the service, you understand that information may be transferred to and processed in countries that may have different privacy laws than your home jurisdiction.
14. Changes to This Policy
Rosey Flowers may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect product changes, operational needs, legal developments, or risk management requirements. When we make material updates, we may revise the date above and provide additional notice where appropriate.
15. Contact Rosey Flowers
If you have privacy questions, requests, or concerns, contact Rosey Flowers at info@roseyflowers.com or call 1-877-707-6739. You may also use the Contact Us page for support requests related to privacy, narration permissions, or account information.
